This afternoon I surprised my best friend with a high tea for her birthday. We went to this cute little place called Gartine in the city center of Amsterdam. It was delicious! We were not the only ones to think so, good thing I made reservations.

I’m going to the Swan Lake tonight! It’s going to be so beautiful. Fun fact: one of my German professors was a swan when she was younger! I knew she was a good ballet dancer, but a swan? Wow.

Last weekend Museum Night, the week before I went to the theatre (Who’s afraid of Virginia Woolf) and a classical concert (ode to Schubert). I’m being very cultural these days.

Last Saturday I went to the Museum Night here in Amsterdam with my boyfriend and my friend from university. Museum Night is once a year in November where 45 museums throughout Amsterdam are opened from 7pm until 2am. Best thing is that you can visit as many as you like for 17,50 euro! We managed to visit five different places. Oh and being able to drink beer in the zoo’s aquarium is also not bad at all. This picture was taken at the Bible Museum where you could do a ‘heavenly photoshoot’.

Tonight I’m going for some after-birthday celebration at club Panama with Calvin Harris!

A baby lion was born in Artis Amsterdam Zoo on Saturday! So cute! It stays inside the first couple of weeks and is only visible on a screen but when it gets to go outside I will definitely visit the zoo. I wanted to do that for a long time now because it’s been years since I was last there and this is an extra good reason.
